Two Private Homes on 23 acres with Hinterland and Ocean Views
Spanning 23 acres of Northern NSW hinterland, this extraordinary holding brings together two separate residences, with the three-bedroom main home elevated to capture sweeping views across the treetops to the ocean. Offering privacy, flexibility and remarkable natural beauty, it feels wonderfully removed while remaining approximately 15 minutes from Murwillumbah and 25 minutes from Currumbin Beach.
From the moment you enter, the view draws you through a series of rendered archways towards the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area at the heart of the home. Hardwood floors, stained glass and cottage-style windows connect beautifully with the surrounding landscape, creating an atmosphere rich in warmth and character.
Overlooking the balcony and expansive outlook beyond, the generous kitchen offers a neutral colour palette, together with a Smeg oven and gas cooktop. The adjoining living and dining area provides a welcoming place to gather, with windows that welcome the stunning vista into your everyday rhythm.
The expansive balcony takes in an uninterrupted outlook over the green canopy to the sparkling ocean. With generous space for outdoor dining and relaxed seating, it is a beautiful place for a quiet morning coffee, long lunches with friends or simply watching the light shift across the hinterland as the sun sets.
Three spacious bedrooms, each with a built-in wardrobe and peaceful leafy outlook, are positioned on this level and serviced by the main bathroom. A fresh neutral palette allows the home’s timber, views and original character to take the lead.
Downstairs, extraordinary roundwood beams give the large second living area a character entirely its own. A wood-burning fireplace creates an inviting retreat, while wide doors open to the covered outdoor area and hinterland outlook. A second bathroom, laundry and smaller adjoining spaces provide valuable flexibility depending on what your lifestyle calls for.
Modern comforts completing this acreage lifestyle include split-system air conditioning and a Puretech water filtration system.
SECOND RESIDENCE
A short walk from the main residence and privately screened by established trees, the separate two-bedroom cottage can be accessed by its own driveway or via a nature pathway through the property. Complete with a kitchen, bathroom, living area, laundry and veranda, it creates genuine flexibility for extended family, guests or a potential additional income stream.
Approximately two years ago, the cottage received a new roof, insulation and rewiring, while its timber floors were also restored. The remaining interiors are largely original, giving the next owner an opportunity to continue the transformation and shape the cottage around their own plans.
Between the two residences, a freestanding structure of approximately 6m x 6m adds another intriguing element to the property. Positioned beside the road and featuring a timber floor and metal roof, it was once used as a roadside market stall, with local history telling of bananas being sold from here during the 1950s.
